Germany cuts visa processing time for Indian skilled workers from nine months to two weeks! ๐
Todayโs Economic Times has encouraging news for the visa-seekers in Germany.
The German government has cut the lengthy ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐ for ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ธ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ from ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ต๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ผ๐ป๐น๐ ๐๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ๐. The goal of this modification, which Foreign Minister ๐๐ป๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ธ confirmed, is to alleviate labor shortages by accelerating the issuing of visas for ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐, ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐, and ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฏ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐.
The extreme shortage of skilled workers is causing heavy losses in manufacturing and digitization and affecting the nationโs capacity to serve its people in various aspects of life. Accelerating the immigration process is the only solution for this. The Governmentโs intent is clear, and itโs expressed in many policy decisions (Opportunity Card, new Skilled Immigration Act, etc.). However, the German bureaucracy is unable to catch up. Having a good intent is one thing, but to make it happen on the ground, one needs strong machinery working in tandem – VFS, Embassy, Consulates, and Government offices in Germany dealing with foreigners โ including Auslรคnderamt. Often, these offices too suffer due to a lack of skilled resources for visa processing. Letโs hope the intent and action find their rhythm for the benefit of both economies.
